When you feel unworthy or unwanted
There is no doubt you have felt unworthy throughout life, especially when you fall into the trap and start to see yourself as the world sees you.
You may not look a particular way (or hate the way you look), you may feel like you should be more successful thank you are right now or feel ashamed that you don’t have the material items you think you need to be considered ‘valued’ and ‘accepted’ by society or even your friends.
You may also have felt rejected by your work, your friends, family or even your boyfriend/husband which has left you feeling unwanted and lonely.
These feelings are real however they are often a result of us making one very big mistake. Seeing ourselves as the world sees us.
I came across this quote the other day …
Your life, your purpose, in fact everything changes when you see yourself as God sees you.
Never allow your worth to be measured by the world, it’s a trap to get you to doubt your value and purpose.
To prevent this from happening we must be diligent and guard our hearts AT ALL TIMES. Let’s face it, we can sometimes be pretty foolish when it comes to matters of the heart.
God tells us to …
Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.
Proverbs 4:23 NLT
ABOVE ALL ELSE. Now that tells you how serious it is to allow anything into your heart let alone control it.
We must only allow Christ to rule our hearts. Not another human, or a job or even a dream should take priority. It is when our attachment to something or someone becomes our focus do we lose sight and sometimes our relationship with God.
Remember that God has a plan for your life.
Yes you. Stick by His side and watch your perspective change on how you see yourself and feel at peace that the world cannot give.
